More Than a Cone

Amber Peterson

Amber Peterson is the creative mind behind 5149 & ½ Art. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in film and digital media. While she works in several mediums, she is primarily an abstract painter and urban toy artist. Her artwork is best described as delightfully insane eye candy. It bursts with color, appears to be suspended in motion and requires several glances to capture the minute details that lurk in every corner of the work.

She has two boxer dogs that play a role in her art, nicknamed 'management'. A large part of her efforts at 5149 & 1/2 art is dedicated to helping fund raise for boxer dog rescues.

Her long term goal is to create a network of artists and rescues working together. To create pieces that will not only bring in much needed funds, but change the perception of rescue dogs by the public at large.
